Goodbye

Dear fellow dealers:

With a heavy heart, we've decided to completely discontinue our public-facing driver development and focus our efforts in other directions. We would like to thank all who have supported our drivers for the past couple of years. We very much enjoyed the challenge of pushing the many boundaries of this platform, even to the point that Crestrons’ engineering teams were baffled by what we could do on the box.

As many know, there was a platform update live stream today. These new features render two of our most complex drivers useless to sell. These sales provide the revenue needed to maintain free support and platform costs for operation. While we understand they are entitled to do anything they want, the lack of professional courtesy of having a simple conversation prior didn’t go unnoticed.

Ultimately, we needed to make a business decision. Spending several months working hard to make something, test it, support it when it needs to be updated, and support people on implementations all to have it go to waste is simply not worth it.

For those wondering what will happen: For the moment, we’re pausing all sales. Drivers purchased will continue to run normally. We’re discontinuing support for the time being. Please reference help guides for operation, available in the driver or drivers.crestron.io. Once we have an update on the final path of closure, we will send an email with any required steps.
